Just found out from SleepyC that Azhar passed away from cancer. A lot of you guys knew him better than I did, let's hear the good stories.

Part of making friends is losing friends, we enjoy their company when they're here and honor them by continuing to do the things we shared and by keeping them in our hearts.

Deepest sympathies to those of you that knew Azhar well.

RIP Azhar. I had called him a few times for parts and he even sent some bling out for one of our Fun Fly's for pilot prizes. Great guy. His family will be in our prayers.

Azhar and I tried to get together a few times while we were both in Singapore or China.
We were both in Singapore, I had sent him a text while I was very tired. Later, I re-read my text wondering how he made any sense of it. It was a good laugh later.
We were discussing the difficulty in getting back and forth to Asia and Washington state, talking about fatigue and other things. Azhar started to laugh, telling me how one of his trips went poorly. His family came back to Washington the "right " way, heading east. He ended up going west backwards through Europe and the eastern US finally arriving home exhausted.
He teased me constantly, especially about the brand of models I fly. When I bought his DA170, he groaned when I told him what it was going to power.
He was a good friend, and I will miss him. RIP Azhar.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Wenatchee Huck last year, and though I never really spoke to him all that much, he seemed to be a very friendly and lighthearted guy that looked like he was always helping people out. Nothing but a team of Class A pilots at his hand well, which I think speaks volumes of his character. Whenever I'm looking for an aluminum accessory for my airplanes or transmitters, Aztech is the first place I go, and it will always continue to be the first place I go so long as they are up and running.
