    Welcome!

Soloshot anybody? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I have been through alot with this system and I think we are just running into the max speed of the servo motors they use for the tilt and pan. Al you can do is use the biggest frame size and fly slower with less vertical. They have re done the whole thing with a new version coming out that looks totally different but I am afraid to see the cost when they release that.

Thank you Tom, if You have done so much with it, and I have done some, we both have reached the same conclusion...

Then I will get rid of this!

Thank you!

Cam,

Look for people that want to video kids doing sports, bicycle racing etc. The SoloShot is great for stuff like that.

Yeah I think our airplanes are probably at the very extreme of what it can do, stuff like bicycles, snowboarding, surfing, etc. that's what it was really meant to do. Unless your Tavis and fly low and slow in circles then I don't think this is really for us.

I think if there were enough people interested in recording their flights and they voiced that to the company, they may try utilizing some faster servos and also a faster uplink between the aircraft and the device so it can keep up with the plane.

I like the theory of the device, but am glad I didn't pick one up when I was going to. I would not have been a happy camper to say the least.

When this current version came out, I swear I saw videos that claimed to have been shot with the system that looked great. I bought the system ($695) and could never get it to work right. I feel like I've been had!

I Got the My Flight Dream Antenna Tracker, working on fixing a camera on that. changing the stock servo to Mi Servos. will update this space about its performance at how I went about it.

PS
Provided damn customs clears the tracker first

After seeing and reading peoples reviews and videos on the net including @Tom Hintz 's review (Which was crisp, unbiased & to the point). what I came to realize is, SoloShot should change from servos to BLDC (Pretty much like these days Gimbals) for tracking. Tracker head movement would be crisp fast and accurate.

AS regards the amount to zoom in, they could provide an app for initial settings where one could set the zoom value as per one's requirement.

Well ! my experiment with MFD ant tracker will look into these things, and I will, if I succeed, put the methods etc etc with no commerce in mind

Do let me know your thoughts ! bright ideas ! etc

PS
got to know about http://www.flyingrc.net/ @Tom Hintz you are doing a Good Job with no hint of bias and for the pure love for the hobby ! thank you
