No WORDS... RIP - Reza Gholamipour

I'm at a loss for words! I've talked to him through emails and the forums. He was certainly a stand up guy! Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Damn I'm hungry
Very saddened to hear this. Exchanged ideas and thoughts on the forums too. My deepest condolences.

I know a lot of you guys ride, please be careful out there!!!
I love to ride but I made the decision to sell my sport bike a few years ago. With a top speed of 175mph and seeing 160 on a regular occasion I knew my time was running out because I had little self control. Then you throw in really bad drivers on city streets riding safely.

BTW, the high speeds were out in the country where I could easily see. Still unsafe but was not on the HWY or city streets.

I may get a sport touring bike in the future but who knows.

I have a sport touring bike, speed limited to 115 but I know it'll do around 160 without the limiter.. I commute with it every day, the entire way home yesterday and to work today was probably my slowest ride ever, and I normally don't ride that fast.. Just have to use your head and keep it on a swivel as best oyu can..

As a young man I had my share of touring bikes and pocket rockets. It was when I laid down my KZ 1000 is when I called it quits many moons ago. Now power to weight is insane! much less drivers not being able to see a motor bike in time. Free touring and daily driving a bike is awesome and I do not think there is a "freedom" that is better felt (other than flying a real extra 300 or Edge) but it is a personal choice and to all the members who ride I hope your road journey's are safe. Again, very saddened to here this news.

one word....cell phones

sold my R100-GS when the kids were about 4 and 6 to buy drapes, never replaced it even though I'd love to. now i drive my '99 Suburban for kicks

just be safe, that's all.

Condolences to all who knew and loved Reza. I stopped riding many years ago after the third occasion when a driver made eye contact with me and then proceeded with something that would cause me injury. That on top of uncountable cases where a clueless driver turned in front, changed lanes into, backed out in front of and all the other things that riders know too well. Too many crazy and careless people out there and the bike provides no protection.
