The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Liquid expo foamy flying at a party last night, turns into a boat ride @emtp275 and myself. @Paul Puszynski didn't make it to the pond, he got hung up in a tree :lol2: both Justin, and myself gave our foamies a bath. Tip of the day: Foamies, an water make MAGIC smoke
Tell Ms. Heather Thank you for taking pics, she caught me dipping tail, but pic didn't come out well.
Who need the pond at Nall when we have Pauls "gator pit" to fly over and in. :LOL_gif:

Went out to the field today and it was another one of those "we have 110 members, where is everybody?" days. There were only 4 of us flying. It was hot, but not terrible. It was a little windy.

I remaidened my Trex550e. All went well. I need to do some tweaking on the FBL controller to get it to roll faster, but basically at this point, I'm a happy camper.

One of the guys had a Walmart foamie hand throw glider that he put an elevator and rudder on and a bomb drop for a tow line release and he was towing it with a little foamie Cub. It was hilarious to watch. They had done it several times before I got there, but on the first one I saw just as they were getting a little altitude the battery, which was taped on the glider decided to fall off and dangle. Both planes did some awesome maneuvers before he was able to get it released. The Cub landed safely, but the glider ended up about a 1/4 mile away in a bean field.

They tried again, with more tape on the battery and it worked great. He ended up getting almost 20 minutes of flight out of it. I'll bet that's a record for a Walmart hand throw glider.
