BME-102 or 3W-100??

ExtraNuts

70cc twin V2
Ive had BME 102's on H9 33%ers and they flew with authority, power to spare. I would put the 3W on the 35% carden. The BME runs best with a 26x10 prop etc and the 3W a 27x10. BME is lighter. 3w heavier but more power. I think its pretty obvious what engine would work best with each plane. Now get r done man.

The 3W is a 100i B2, does that mean anything other than that it's a 100cc? I've seen references to TOC engines, doe the "i B2" mean it's one of them?

It can probably use a replacement carb (the throttle and choke mechanisms are really loose) but I don't see any google hits when I enter Tillotson 232D923....maybe the 232D923 is a serial number and not the model number?

Thanks!

I had a 35% Carden Edge with a 100cc TOC 3W on it. After about 10gals the 3W came to life and had plenty of power to do anything that I was able to do with the plane!!

Similar to my 106, after a few years of operation it is really starting to run great.

ok, i don't see a TOC on the case. what does the 100i-B2 mean? just a later version of the engine?

i'm going to mount it this week to the new firewall and get the cowl aligned. after that i'm going to send it back for service so it'll be fresh and ready to go when the plane is done.

thanks!
