JR 921 receivers

I bought 2 JR 921 receivers. These are DSM-2. My transmitter is a JR 9503 DSM-X. Both of these receivers will bind easily to my transmitter, but neither one will transmit signal to the servos. I've re-binded them both several times. At the time I was trying to set up some Robart electric retracts in a new build. After I couldn't them to work, I plugged in various servos in different channels, and nothing. Then, I pulled out an old Spektrum 7000, it bound to my radio, and all channels work like they're supposed to. What am I doing wrong?

It should pick dsm2 or dsmx on its own. When you are binding it should say on the screen as it is binding.

The receiver will tell the transmitter which mode to use. There is no switch. For wat it's worth many people in our club have had range issues flying DSM-2 receivers with the X transmitters. For that reason I have never had my 9503 transmitters upgraded to X, so I cannot speak from personal experience.

Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Keep them coming. I'm going to keep working on trying to figure this out.

Ive flown dsmx rx on dsm2 TX and vise versa. No issues. The radio detects 2 or x itself. There is NO user setting in the Tx.

You must have minimum 1 remote ant plugged into the rx. If you unplug that remote rx and reinstall to another port, you must rebind.

A good battery should be used as well. Like mentioned above, you probably have something flipped wrong, tie servo end plug into the rx.
