That is what I see but don't know that it adds up right. If you sum up the fin gaps on an air passage flow from top to bottom there is no way that is 2-3 times the air coming that top scoop. I just see some back pressure there with the air moving slower between the fins to exit. But if it's working I am thinking wrong then. Looks cool though.

That is the way DA specs out the proper cooling for the DA-200. It is the same thing I did when I had the 200 in my Extra, and the cooling worked great.

No, the main thing on these is the back cylinders. For the 150 / 170 just aiming keeping the air from going down towards the mufflers and off to the sides by the plug caps makes a huge difference, closing off the top and inside also makes a big difference.

Thanks and after thinking about this in that regard I can see it as a perfect solution for a quad with getting air to the back cylinders.

OK, got motivated yesterday and have the baffling pretty much ready to seal and paint. I need to cut the throttle/ choke servo openings and any other Ignition, etc routing holes in the motor box then will seal and paint the entire motor box/ baffles.
I wont bore you all with more pictures until I can post a picture of the finished and painted motor box...but here is two more of last nights progress...
