Just a small job done but needed to be done, glued in the ailerons. My summer planes are ready and the weather sucked so had sometime to glue in the ailerons. I always use proxy and robart hinges.

The air brakes for the plane are made from G10 Fibreglass plate. I tried to cover the G10 plate with UltraCoat and it did not work well. Would not stick well and hundreds of air bubbles. not sure how I am going to do this or just leave them as is. I can paint the white section but not the smoked purple do not have that colour.

Low heat on a smooth (very fine grit) sanded surface would probably be your best bet. Could also paint it white and then just gently cover the purple with covering over the paint?

Try spinners from EF. They come pre-balanced. I have a bunch of the 3" ones and a 4" one and all have run true. Will be picking up a 5" soon for my 104" Extra 260 rebuild.
Let me know how it works out. Same as you 3 & 4 great ran true just not the 5 inch ones Got 3 all not great.

I new when I did it I did not leave my self enough space and clearance to work with it, so I had to get it correct the first time. Well I lucked out on the first air brake all went well and all the 9 holes lined up. Now hopefully the second one goes the same.

Well tried again and failed again me and paint do not get along. Decided to paint the air brakes. Went to a paint store had the colours matched and some made up. As you can see from the picture white is good but the purple not so much. Played around with it a little but nothing worked. So left it alone painted the air brake. It will stay as is luckily it is on the bottom and it does look better than not painted Or I should say not as obvious.

Have to be patient for awhile order some parts from Spain servo linkages they seem to look good and read a lot of good news about there products on European forums, will see how it looks when it arrives. When they arrive I can start installing all the servos. Next I need get my self into gear and order a new Radio system from PowerBox.

Basically the plane is built now it is just a matter of installing everything and programming radio and doing a CG check.
