That was just a branch. The overall tree is much bigger. I am cutting it up and letting my son drag it off the driveway but eventually the branch will be too big for my saw or mini excavator.

Sorry but I just have vent about this. Bought a motor from DubJett it arrives in Canada as normal. But get this Canada government adds 25% to the price Tariffs then adds the 2 numbers together and then adds additional 13% VAT on top of that, that is nuts how can you add VAT on the 25% tarief. That is adding tax on tariff how does that work, bunch of thieving bastards. It’s becoming prohibitive expensive to buy from the States. How has the tariffs hitting you guys.

Ouch! Yeah it's definitely showing just how much is imported to us. Rules and fees are different per export location. eg: I bought an electric reel on ebay from Japan, and after looking very hard I found out that below $800 is duty free. The catch with Canada is that they flexed and said well we can do that too and now has a 25% tariff from the US. So it's a pinch and pinch back. If you can figure out how to play the game and send something to one of us and we could ship it to you not as a good or a service but as a friend to a friend that would help you out so it's coded differently on the customs forms. As for VAT taxes - the US is exempt. So send it to your family in the USA next time and have them send it to you as a gift with the proper customs forms. Major PITA. Sorry buddy!

Getting closer to getting my first 120cc airframe in the air. A buddy had an unfortunate incident with his 104" EF Extra 260. Decided he is going with all new equipment on his next airframe so gave me the GP123. It needs an ignition module as the wire where pulled out of the box and one muffler needs a slight repair. Otherwise though motor still has good compression and turns over smoothly. I put a dial indicator on it and the crank runs true so basically a 120cc engine for $130 as the cost of the ignition.

Might be worth popping the cylinders off and checking the crank/connecting rods and a carb kit:

As for the tariffs, I have yet to feel the impact. I'm sure that day will come.
I just got another email from one of my sporting goods distributors that 15 of their brands will have price increases starting tomorrow July 1'st. Guess I'll be stocking up on some more stuff today to beat the latest increase.

The correct way to bring more manufacturing back to the USA is with incentives. Not by punishing every man, woman and child in the United States.
