What part are you making for the cabin? You could end milling the part rather than face milling to improve the finish or milling in the opposite direction. I'm guessing you were climb milling where tool pulls the work into it.

Was crossing the 'rod' end across the mill bit and only in correct direction. Axis rod is bent so that had something to do with it I'm sure.

Waiting on misc brass and steel rods and realized it's time to get serious about the wing and upper cabin work. Started the fit up tonight.

Several issues with upper cabin wing ribs. I shot Don at Rcaiir.com an email with photos yesterday. Awaiting a reply.

Hope you get a speedy reply, looks like the rib on the right is a little short of the trailing edge. Are the ribs show on the plans? Is it possible to cut new ones rather than wait for a revision?

Definitely, I'm cutting tomorrow regardless. At first assumed they were correct but looking around online I don't think so. Thus the inquiry. To be continued.

Working on root rib mess. Inner root rib has undercamber, unlike outer root rib. No main spar slot and is different size from outer root rib. I wouldn't have the upper cross brace slots vertical, why not square them with rib surface and eliminate sanding?

Outer root rib issues:

It's incorrectly shaped with shaping for the wing spar and sheeting. No upper cross bracing slots at all. Also it is longer than the inner root rib. Perhaps a trailing edge fixes that.
