Which size prop do you plan on using? I’m flying a 27x10 currently, and wondering if 28x12 would be too much for the DA100.
Will be starting with a 27-10 for now engine is new but will watch the temps and then decide but if I get sufficient performance I will stick with 27-10. Ask me later in the flying season.

Ok you asked the question and you got me thinking. On the test stand is wooden prop 26-10. So so that is a little on the light side for a DA100. So after doing some research and phone calls and also checking Falcon prop spec’s for propellers. Decided to go with a Falcon 27-9W. Two reasons 27 is the correct disk loading with wide blade and like to start with 9 pitch to keep the speed down and easier landing.

There is such a variation from brand to brand on the big props it is tuff to say in my opinion. Several years ago I tested 4 or 5 different 26-10 props on a ZDZ80J, resulted from top to bottom were over 1000 rpm apart. Find one you like and stick with it.

Have to agree with you, played around with several brands and each one has its pro’s and con’s I have one I like and if need more or less I will stick with the same manufacturer and change the diameter or pitch to get what I am looking for. I have found when I start mixing manufacturers in the mix I get lost.

Ok got them at last you will not believe how long it took and the hassle-and cost I had with FedX. Hopefully I never have to deal with them again. So that will be two 4000mAh for the radio system. One thing I will never do again is to use a so called RX battery for my radio in the plane, bad idea.
So I can do the final assembly and balance

Now that I have the batteries I have laid out how it is going fit into plane and the distances for wire length and also which plugs at what location.
Decided to go with a battery fail safe switch and pin switch. This little device has fail safely switch and will isolate a bad battery if needed and or use the battery with the heist voltage. Just one step closer to done.

Was this due to import/export with Canada or some restriction with FedEx? Curious minds want to know...

Actually both for some reason FedX decided that it was hazardous material on its way to me at one of their sorting stations and had to drive 100 miles to pick up my batteries. So after lot Emails to the top brass they were told to ship it to me. But then they attached every import tax to the batteries they could. Which I am going fight and we will see what happens.

Wow! Really unbelievable. Best of luck with the fight!
