Looks like the chop saw is a success. Keep us informed I may need to get one my self. I think for cutting stickers and fitting sticks into a fuselage the chop saw is the answer.

So far it is great, even the degree's are accurate. I did add to lighted magnifier to be able to see adjustments and marks better.

Robert, where'd you get the nice stands for table saw and chop saw?
Bill
Harbor Freight, the first one I made a wood top for but the second one I got lazy and used the supplied powder board but will probably replace it eventually. Just really busy doing things around the house because the wife is home. I don't like doing building when she is home because at any minute she may come babbling, I mean needing something. And nothing more irritating than trying to glue a piece in place or mark something or anything and have a I need it now. LOL!!! You know what I mean!

The carbon laminate showed up today. I took a little time this afternoon to see if my Dremel router and bits were going to work. And they do, cut out two real close to the line and the rest will be sanded by hand. Also, after some google searches I discovered the sheet can be cut with a bandsaw so the straight edges were easy to get even closer.
Of course none of this will be completed until someone goes somewhere or back to work.

Well, gave the new router table a test run and it works real well and made the wood top for the new table. Now I could get to work, but, other than the wife being home as previously mentioned I am sort of at an impasse. I have everything ready to make the parts and install the functioning slave rod system. But to be quite honest I just don't know if I want to do it. Two things are just knowing at me. One is there will be a good chunk of the wings t/e cut out and have to be reinforced, and second is will it work effectively. In the end will I really save much of anything with what needs to be added and then there is what can possibly happen if it does not work properly or hold up strength wise.

Before I start cutting up carbon and the such I ran a full mocked up test. Everything is in the proper angles and works well with even movement throughout the travel. Not real happy with the torque so will look into stronger servos in the same size, I have no doubt these servos will work but a little more juice won't hurt anything.
