If your doing any 3D modelings it’s totally worth it. Only thing I don’t like and I turned off was having the zoom on it as well. I much prefer having the zoom remain on the scroll wheel of the regular mouse.

I asked my friend who uses CAD for a living about it, she said it's an extremely useful tool for designing, and uses one as well.

My son asks if he can use an extra plane for a school project. Looks like one of my swap meet mystery pattern planes is going to be converted to a '20s-30s US Mail plane. Apparently the other kids will never know. Anyway this pattern plane was poorly glassed and primed decades ago so an easy donation to the cause.

Where an aileron or an elevator half went I don't know so we decide to cut them out of balsa. A bandsaw here, a sander there and before you know it he is painting sanding sealer on the new pieces. No glass, just straight to spray paint ( some sort of camel tan) like the rest of the plane. A few logos and stencils and this plane will have a second life.

Will Kraft retracts look authentic in a 30's US Mail plane? ;)

Anyway, a great afternoon in the workshop with my son. Not many of those left.......

Well looked out the door this weekend and say no flying for me. Decided to get the fuselage done on my 85” Extra.

We are going to get snow Today and tomorrow expecting at least 3" to 5" here in the Black Hills SD. I am going to paint and install floats on the new E-Flite Air Tractor. By Wednesday or Thursday I can go fly it off the snow. Floats are the only way to fly off deep soft snow

Tell us more about the power system, motor ESC, batteries and propeller and how much flying time you end up getting from the system. Ok you cannot be wearing a DA hat with an electrically powered plane.

Snoopy, well I’ve gotten a few flights on this plane. It originally call for (2) 6s 3700 mah battery’s. I went up 4000 mah. I’m wanting to compete in IMAC, “Basic Category”. So I am able to do the Basic sequence twice. Checking the two battery’s after I’m ending with 32% charge on the battery’s. Right around 6 minutes..... So I’m happy. It’s my first big plane. My others 52” and smaller. It’s hard for me to explain, but I just love this plane. It’s so much smoother in flight. Will be hard to go back to my smaller planes. They just seem so twitchy compared to this new plane. Anyway do hope this helps.....

I know they fly in high winds, but when it comes to the cold like this morning 10 degree's and 20 and gust to 30 mph and wind chill factor below 0 I become a big Whooosy LOL!!!! Here are photo's I took this Morning From my Front Door. Church tonight across the street so they are out ruining my mini flying field. I use a leave blower to clean snow off my decks and some of our vehicles We have over 8" and it is still snowing Looks like Mini turbo, Snow ops test flights will be tomorrow wind 5 to 10 partly cloudy and around 25 degrees in the morning. So until then Happy flying!!! Now back to finishing the project at hand. Painting the floats for my E-Flite Air Tractor. So I can fky it off the soft deep snow we will have
