I sent the eBay Sherline back to seller. In good working condition it was not. Would love to have a bigger lathe (and can afford it) but primarily just need to make small parts. I see the Taig is under $1000 with a power feed. Maybe not a power cross feed but again little parts.

:ugh:

At $1000 I would not be looking for cross feed it is not likely you can get all those functions and a good machine. Go simple and get a good basics machine.

Here’s the mini mill I just picked up from a friend of mine who is upgrading. Should come in handy.

Nice little machine, just make sure when you start doing some milling you remove the drill chuck and mount the cutting tool into a proper moors taper that is pulled tight with a bolt. The drill chuck will come out if used for milling.
