Looks great. Like how you did the rudder and I will say it will hell big time. The way I did it on the last plane this size is the rudder and vertical where built out of 3/8” stock so it’s all thinner than the fuse to begin with.

That did not take me to long but the hard part is not done now I have to match the fuselage to the rudder. The rudder tapers from 5/8 down to 1/4 around the perimeter.

So this was one thing I really wanted to do with mine. Airfoil the tail. I was going to copy an airfoil from one of my 3D birds and scale it down to fit this plane.

And I agree completely with everyone else. Beautiful balsa work buddy.

The elevator will be split. Will be finished in two halves and slid together, glued and the centre section covered carefully, then the hinges glued in. Pictures to follow once it starts look like something, it is just a pile of sticks at the moment.

Finished the leading edge of the elevator and looks as follows the pictures tell the story.
Once covered some epoxy in the slots then slide together and let it harden.

Not sure if I should glue in the stabilizer or make a start on the wings. I think I will start the wings but it is getting very close to Christmas. I will have cleanup the shop and turn it into bedroom before the kids coming home.

Question to @BalsaDust and anyone else how has some first hand experience. The leading edge of this plane is straight or at right angles to the fuselage. What would happen is the leading edge of the wing is slanted backward 10%. Just throwing it out there to discuss

Since you did the elevator in two pieces then I say do not glue any of it in until after covering. Will be much easier that way.
