Although I do not fly that many electrics, I do have a suggestion for you. Many of the guys at the field have purchased their own personal generator. Something like the Honda 2000. However it is a grande. Harbor Freight carries a nice little 2000 watt generator. I believe it sells for around $450. A friend of mine purchased his off the internet when Home Depot had a sale. He purchased his for $203. That was including Freight and taxes. I will be looking into getting one for myself this coming year. More and more I am finding the necessity to have on hand power.
I got one of the little Harbor Freight el cheapos for a little over a hundred bucks to carry in my trailer, runs the chargers effortlessly.
I have four real generators but they are just to much to be handling on a day to day basis.

Thanks Stangflyer been looking at a generator like you said it can get expensive depending on the one you buy, plus it has some other uses. But I was also thinking of build a big 50,ooo mAh battery pack but is not that easy and can cost north of $500. Haven to make some decisions or wait and see how it goes with my first electric plane.

Nice little generator and great price but have one question, do you use the AC power or does it have a dc output.

It has no d/c output, one a/c. Which is no problem for me as I have three a/c to d/c power supplies.
I can vouch for the Predator line as I have three, two of the 3500 invertors and one of the standard 9000 and they have worked flawlessly for me. I don't have one of the smaller 2000 invertors but know several that do with the same results, they work. But then I also have a no name 9000 that as seen use for nine years.

Thanks Acerc they are just a little to big I need a hitch to take those to the field. But yes you are correct I need to look into a generator. The only thing is this is my first big electric plane and I am not sure if I will like it, so I had better fly it a few times and see if it is what I want.

AKNick gave me this Idea. I added a few more Go Pro mounts to my Snow Float Flying Cessna 150 added a mount under each wing and one more on top had to go buy another Go Pro to mount one under each wing. Lazy man's way to achieve lateral balance LOL !!! We got more snow yesterday so tomorrow we are going Snow Floating

Went out and flew this morning. With the two Go Pro's one under each Wing Fly's OK, the landings I did make at a little Higher air speed just to check how it would handle the extra weight under the wings. for some reason they were not recording. I goofed up some where when I got ready. Besides it was cold only 28 degrees and cloudy. winds at 10 to 15 Buuurrr !!! next few days are suppose to warm up into the 40's and 50's and Sun Shine going out and trying again tomorrow

Anyone have experience with vinyl graphics/decal pricing. I was quoted $130 for clear decal with white letters uncut. Or $240 for cut vinyl.
Here is a clip of what I’m doing, note that the ward air letters are about 1.125” high.

The price seems high, but I am clueless. I found a plotter cutter online with decent reviews for $180 and $2O for vinyl then a little more for transfer paper. But hmmmmmmm this should all fit on a 8x12” sheet.
Thoughts??
