Nice flying Nick!

Just curious, what's your limit as far as low temps and flying RC go? How cold is too cold in Alaska?

34F is usually my cutoff. There are other factors at play.... wind is a big one. I will fly much lower temps if there is no wind and little humidity. I’ll shorten my flights to about five-six minutes depending on the type of plane... only because my fingers start to hurt and get numb which makes it hard for aerobatics...I’ll also start to fly more electrics in the winter. Less setup time and lack of propwash while warming it up keeps me warm. Just need to keep the LiPos warm in your pocket or running vehicle.

I have tactics! If there is a will there is a way.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Will post better pics when I have a chance to get them but for now a quick show of my new toy. Cameras on these things are amazing. Plan to take it up to about 150ish feet and park it over our heads while my buddy and I are flying DLG’s. Should provide a pretty cool perspective of the launch process.

Played with a few new to me toys.
Picked up a DX9 Black recently as well as an AR9020 to go with the Booma RC Smart Bus Extreme.
Paired and plugged the MKS777 servos just because they were easily accessible.
Future plan for the Python 100 is to drive the non-HV servos already installed.

Between the features of the transmitter and all those of the Smart Bus, more capabilities exist than I can ever imagine fully utilizing.
I do have “Crow” programmed and working, along with four ailerons or ailerons and flaps, using different flight modes.
Now if I can ever finish the refurbishment of the Python 100. Good news is that reconstruction has begun, rather than deconstruction.

WOW, that look's like a mess, but been there before myself. Glad to see your working your way back into building or rebuilding that Python.
My room has been full of all sorts of other people's stuff for varying reasons but got cleaned out this past week or so. So I also have been inching my way back, to the Challenger recover. Got everything laid back out and ready, should be starting to add more covering here any day.
But first I will cut some new fuse nose panels instead of stripping the current one's of their paint, mostly because some of the holes have changed. Actually looking forward to spending some time in the shop again. So maybe, just maybe, that custom Bulldog II might see the table the first of the year...
