Here are some drone shots of the new runway. I'm waiting to hear back from Chris the guy that ran the project on the cost of the Geotex and staples. Chris is one of those guys good clubs can't do without. He ran the new pavilion project and the runway project. Anyone that's tried to get people in a club to get things done knows it's like herding cats.;)

Well after just shy of 25 years, it's time to replace my truck/airplane hauler. It's gotten so rusty in the last few years I'm waiting for the whole rear cross-member that holds the spare tire to fall out.

The replacement is a Ford Flex I bought damaged from one of my customers. I used it this past Sunday to haul my 105" Extra and it worked out pretty well. Even though the S-10 is a 4 cylinder stick, the Flex even gets better millage. I still may keep the truck around for awhile for those times when you just need a truck.

Looks very nice! Herding cats is an understatement though. So many people with ideas and input, yet never respond to e-mails, no-shows for projects, excuses, never step up to the plate to actually help the club unless it's to their own personal benefit, and still complain that we are not growing/lacking interest. I've heard this for over a decade, and yet it's always the ones who just want to fly and have fun seem to prosper in the club. People crack me up!

Just don’t crank up the boost and blow the engine like Ryan did on his Flex. ;)

That looks beautiful brother. Is it just an optional illusion, or is the new runway a lot bigger than the old one?
