Anybody in the Detroit MI area wanna take me flying one afternoon this week? I leave tonight for a robot training class just north of Detroit all week long.

All week the weather guessers were forecasting rain and thunderstorms for today, but as usual, wrong! It was pretty hot and very humid for the last few days in September, but a nice day for flying.

The Su-31 makes Miss Moana look tiny.:oblong:

Really like Miss Mona... but that Suk....WOW, brother. I just fell in love with it the first time I saw it and have never stopped yearning for her to come visit me...PERMANATELY. LOL

The weather was simply gorgeous and a bunch of us decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather. My son and I made it a Pilot RC 330 day. I gotta tell ya all, that DLE 120 of his is a tough engine to beat these days. That thing really does every bit as well as any of my 3w engines. At unheard of as it sounds, that 120 runs ridiculously good. It was tearing up that Falcon. And beat power today. Maybe it was the cooler than summer temps or maybe because he did all the DLE mods on it, I dont know. Just a very dependable and sweet running motor.

Speaking of sweet running, the 157cs kicked Royal ass today. She's back to her unbelievably brute power, performance and fuel economy. The motor just feels, sounds and seems so much better since I did all the work to it yesterday. Certainly the new L80'S didnt hurt it any. She's back to her nearly 6000 on the ground rpm and totally annihilating that Falcon 32x10. About 20 ounces of 40:1 redline high test fuel for over ten minutes of really mashing the gas pedal and exhilarating maneuvers. Needless to say I am so happy with the outcome. Three flights on her today and two on the little Frankie Stang. I just love that plane. It is just almost stupid proof. Which in my case is a huge bonus. Lol. I hope I can transition the flight characteristics of the little foamy Mustang into the Behemoth staying. It sure does fly well.

Anyway, that is my day at the field today. Pretty successful and quite enjoyable. I hope you all had a good day at the field also.

Another hot and humid day at Nall but the Eagle did get a flight in. These couple shots came from the wife's cell, and is the only two fairly decent.

Well tell us a little about your trip to JoeNall. Sounds like you had good weather. Hope you did a lot of flying. How big was the attendance and were there many vendors. How does it compare to the spring event.
