I'm still only managing 5 minutes of flight time, but now there's nearly 2x the power on 4s 2200's. The extra weight didn't seem to bother it either. At least I have 2 options now- run a larger prop and a 2700mah 3S pack for flight times, or run a smaller prop on 4s 2200's and get screaming power. :epic:
Why not run a 4s with more mah?

A beautiful sunny and calm day here in Idaho. Perfect temps and great air laid the ground work for some early Saturday flying. The Behemoth Yak and my sons 100cc Pilot 330sc were on tap for great fun. We had an awesome time. That is until my sons 330 lost a main gear wheel. Ah but he crabbed it in and landed it as gracefully as a swan upon a lake. Total boss landing.

I watched a Pilot 35% Extra 330SC do that two weeks ago, but the landing wasn't so graceful.

That's why you should always run wheel pants, to help hold the wheels on. :lol2:
Wheel pants... Hmm, I remember those. Them damn "get in the way and get cracked or broken every time you get close to your plane" things, right? I do agree. I lost a wheel on 260 a few years ago. It is not a great heart felt feeling when you are trying to figure out how to get your pride and joy back down to mother earth...the "EASY" way. LOL

You know me Rob, I am the GSN self appointed wheel pant Nazi.;)

It's going to be a nice cool day here today, with a high just over 80, the problem is it's 7 am and the wind is already at 17 mph according to the weather station at the field.:(

Made it to the field today. Temps in the 70's but probably due to the wind. Not terrible but enough to keep you on your toes. I feel your pain sometimes Doug. But dang it, I'm just not gonna let the wind stop me. Lol.

Well it turns out I didn't either.:) It was windy, but not too bad. At times it was a bit chilly believe it or not, it was hard to believe it's July.:oblong:

Now you're talkin'. Funny, My son said the same thing this morning as we arrived at the field. He put on a short sleeved T-shirt and shorts thinking it would be warm. LOL, he turned to me and said how chilly it felt this morning. Ah heck... I didn't even notice. LOL

Good to see you got out too. Dang, for as many times as I see that Sukhoi there are just as many times I wish I had it. Simply bad ass cool.
