Kinda bittersweet but I had to let it go. Ultimate hangar queen. Carl Goldberg .60-90 size 64” span kit Super Chipmunk. I covered it in the joe “fang” maroney color scheme. It’s been sitting in my shop for maybe 9 years. The sad thing is that it’s on its third engine and never flown. Taken it to the field a few times and something always came up. The new owner is going to convert it to electric. It’s 5.5lbs with just the servos installed. I told him he could buy it from me on one condition.... that I could fly it at least once. So I’m happy!!!

That is so nice. Wonderful job. I loved my Goldberg Chippy to death. Had a Webra Speed .80 motor in it and it was a ball.

I think we all had a number of Goldberg planes I believe I had them all and I must say really enjoyed them nice to build and great flyers. What I do not understand is that he was so successful but never moved on to build new models and bigger planes.

Well boys it has been a long frustrating day for me and a lot traveling back and fourth to the print shop with nothing to show for all the work. It seems that no mater what I do at home with the PDF the machine at the print shop sees it as 8 1/2 by 11. He can expand to 36 inches but when it prints it is bad. The lines are very thick and the scale is of. Example 16 inches is printing at 14.75 so I am having my difficulties. Can not find anything on google to help so it going to take some time to figure out.

What are you trying to print? Maybe I can help

He is trying to print up a set of plans he drew. Most at least for me local print shops can’t open cad files so they need to be converted to pdf. It’s pretty easy to do but takes some time as if it’s not done right then they don’t convert full size.

Well I have been at it all morning but I am missing some thing had to walk away from it because I starting to mad at it. Just not getting it right. Got the paper size and all that but it something in the view port and how it is selected and right now can not delete the viewport so I can start over. After I have cooled down and had a tea I will go back at it.

Depending how it goes I may take you up on printing up all the drawings for me. Can you print the size
Big enough for a 50 cc size plane and if you can, can you send the drawings to me in tube.

You can only select and delete the viewport when you are in paper space. If still in model space then you can’t select the viewport but can select everything you have drawn.
