No work in the workshop for me as of late. Too much time working on my little girls first home. But hey, get that knocked out of the way so I can spend the next three days playing with things that I love. PLANES!!!! Velox is going to get some T.L.C. this weekend. Gotta get her the heck outta here so I can start taking my 330's covering off of her. I guess I need to give her a name now too like all my other red headed girlfriends. LOL

Got a new motor box built up and slid in and it fits a little tight but with little sanding it will work. Just have disassemble it all again and glue it all up and put back in place. It slides in about 7 inches, far into the plane to pick up the landing gear supports it should all hold together.

Oh hey!!! NICE work.... Dang, that thing is going to be flight ready again in no time. I have to say Snoop... After paying attention to what you have been doing over the last year or so, your skills and attention to detail has really improved....ALOT! You should be very pleased and proud of your growing accomplishments. Way to go man!

Thank you for the compliment that was nice of you, but I must say it all of you on GSN that has really made me a better builder and got me into 3D. But trying to fly 3D is a challenge but I will keep working at it improving sloooooly.

Some make 3D look easy. I have a long way to go, but I am excited at how much I have learned over the last couple of years. I can do things now, that I never could have imagined. It just takes practice and a lot of fuel (a lot more fuel for some of us).

How true up to now 2 planes 1 repaired and one modified, and this year about 15 gallons of glow and 5 gallons of gas and still trying and you know what having a good time doing it. Must say I have learned a lot but not enough. Hope to be able to prop hang about 10 to 20 ft of the ground and be reasonably proficient at the end of 2018.

Your goals are much like mine. I can prop hang with canopy or belly out no problem but the rolling thing has been challenging and also getting real low has been challenging.

Just before end of the season I was much lower than ever though. I would guesstimate around 20-25', but not really sure and a few times much lower. I have been working hard on knife edge loops, doing everything inverted as well, turns, smooth crisp rolls, prop hangs, flat spins, etc. Balsadust has been admonishing me to get it down low, so maybe this year. :D

I replaced the fuselage on the crashed QQ Extra. Thanks to an idea from @49dimes it has new legs now as well. Going to be much better than the flimsy wire landing gear. No wheel pants now. Usually they go right into the trash due to our primitive runways. I've got one more challenge and a question. Since the new fuse didn't come with them, and, I didn't want to pay $35 for new ugly decals I thought it would be better to strip the old decals off. Now it's naked and I want to get some color on it but want some opinions. Paint or Ultracote? I'm not creative at all when it comes to color schemes so any suggestions are appreciated.
