Tanner, I am curious why you don't have linear throw on the rudder?? Both my "Crown Royal" and "Olympic" scheme are perfect on linearity. I did find that you are correct with CG issue though. On my Crown Royal, I didn't have too much problem as I had headers and canisters to help with that. It was still just a tad tail heavy, but I placed the flight packs so that I would have that tail weight. With the Olympic however, stock DLE exhaust and very light 111, I found that it is a bit more tail heavy than I like. Without adding the weight of the canister exhaust I plan to make flight pack extensions and move my flight packs way up front. Not sure if this is going to help much. But the plane only comes in about 26 pounds. She is very light and far more crisp than what I was expecting. I really need to get her out and do some more flying with her. Right now, it's almost spooky responsive. LOL.

The way the rudder servo pocket was designed into the tail did not account for the position of the elevator relative to the position of the rudder horn. So when I gave it down elevator, the elevator hit the rudder linkage. I had to change the whole linkage setup to get it to work properly but the whole design was not done right so it pushes the rudder further to the left than it can pull it to the right.

I'm contemplating whether or not I want to buy the dual SWB rudder tray or just setup the servos hard linked to each other...

The planes look good are they UltraSport planes. Love the plane I still have one and if I have the need for some speed I take it out to the field. Always enjoy flying the plane.

Yep Ultra Sports, the new ARF that just came out, mine has a YS FZ80 in it and yesterday it was finally breaking in and really started haulin, I have almost a gallon through it now. We flew all day and they handled the wind great, we had some really blustery conditions. The glow stuff is still fun.

Yes I agree in that size I still prefer glow. My ultrasport is about 15 years old still flying as good as day one good plane for bad weather and I love mine it is my second one. Both were built from kits and painted. Flying it with a os75 use to have a YS-91 in it at first great engine but the OS -75 has more top speed.

Good to see the bi-plane in the air and it is flying well and you are enjoying it. Yes it is always exciting to fly something you built. It is so much more satisfying than an ARF. I have just finished the Sportster and it is no big deal but I am more excited about it than getting my 50cc ARF in the sky. I have to say for just flying and racing around the modern 3D planes suck they are to light and the wings to big for that.
I agree with you that 2-3600mAh battery's will do the job just fine, that is one thing I like doing and keeping meticulous track of my battery's and the usage. I also have a special battery discharger connected to a computer that plots the discharge and the voltage and capacity so that I can see how performs over time.
Is this a special computer program? I would love to have that to also track my batteries closer.

Hmm...!!! I'll look at mine this evening and see what is different.

I have went away from the SWB tray due to centering issues. Once I linked the servos, game over, dead on centering every time. I may have needed to tighten the linking cables more but, hind site is always 20-20 :) It was nice to get rid of the extra weight also.

I have a dual SWB tray in my Yak and it's dead solid as far as centering goes. I think some of it comes from the servos needing to be sync'd to each other, as well as how tight the pulley setup is.

Post pics! I would like to see as well.
Here you go Tanner. I am not entirely certain of what it is that is different or just what you can tell from the photos of my Edge rudder. But as you can see, I get plenty...way lots of plenty of rudder throw. In fact, I have my rudder throw "e.p.a'd" out to stop it from going full stop either direction. And the rudder will travel exactly the same amount whether left or right. Full down elevator does not interfere with the rudder travel. I have found that the 107" V2 Pilot Edge does not "need" all the rudder throw you can get out of it. In fact, too much rudder actually counteracts any superior maneuvering capabilities. For example: Both my 107"'ers only needs about 30 degrees max throw to get wicked fast and tight knife edge spins. "Pop-Tops" are just as insane. When doing full throttle knife edge snaps, max throw of the rudder will give you some extremely violent snaps. From perfect Left wing up snapped to perfect Right wing up and vice versa.

Did I misunderstand or did I over look something? Let me know if this is what you needed or if there is something more I can do to help ya out.

Nice set up if I see it correctly you have two servos doing the job one on either side of the fuselage. Do you prefer this to the pull pull cable system and if so why. Or did you do this to achieve balance.
