Camms welcome to the Jeti world , like Cam said it's amazing radio with endless possibilities . A little different understanding but the more time with the more comfortable you will be . It's the best choice i have made .

Enjoy your new Jeti

Thanks guys, I'm taking the opportunity to go through my 35% and do some updating. Needs a carb kit I think, I'm removing the ignition battery and switch and installing and IBEC, a wheel pant needs a little attention..

I'm looking at mounting the CB200 in the plane and my batteries have EC3 connectors. I need to install the multiplex connectors, I notice there's 3 pins each for + and - do you solder somehow to all 3 pins? Or just hit the center 2 and leave the outside pins or how do I need to do this? I bought their little solder adapter plates but being as the wires stick straight up I'd like to keep them as short as possible.

Hope that makes sense.

TX won't be here till Monday, it's sitting downtown on a truck but FedEx won't let me come pick it up...

Okay what i did is bend the tips together so its around the wir , i used 16 gauge for the battery leads with silver solider and flux . I melted one adapter as i get the pin too hot so i used a low temp silver flux and it works great .

On my 35% i was thinking of using the Ibec ignition but used a PowerBox Spark switch regulated at 5.9 volt the simplest unit , just plug and set up the LED light for reference that the system is on . Great unit .

Oh I didn't think of bending the pins, great idea I will try that. I didn't realize the receivers came with the multiplex plug for the battery side so I have 6 extra now, good in case I melt one.

Tech-Aero IBEC came today so I got that all mounted up.

Good to hear you have spares , it might take one practice try . Make sure you the heat shrink is on the wire before solider , personal ooops

Has anybody used LUA? I see there is separate versions of firmware with and without lua, would there be a reason not to install the lua firmware?

Well after 12 long days I finally got my hands on a Jeti. Initial impressions are DAMN, this thing is nice. Surprisingly comfortable in my hands, it is heavy, heavier than my 12x was for sure. Build quality looks second to none. I was kind of suprised on the yellow color however. I was expecting like a Ducati or Ferrari shade of yellow, it's labeled "Sunburst Yellow" on the website but the box it came in is labeled "Dark Yellow" which is kind of a cub yellow but it looks really nice, I really like it.

I updated the firmware in the TX and the R7 RX, easy no problems. Then I setup my first model, I was a little concerned reading through the manuals that it was going to be complicated, but it was pretty easy. As you guys said once you setup a model it all makes sense and it does.

Due to the weight I may try the neck strap, I've only tried one once before and didn't like it. This felt pretty comfortable so I'm going to give it a try again. If not I'm sure it will be fine to hold it old school style.

So far I like it!

Flew the Jeti today, flew great no issues. I didn't notice the weight at all, didn't think about it once so I guess I won't be using the neck strap. Did have an issue with the timer, didn't realize I needed to tell it to beep when the time expires! Got that fixed and flew maybe 7 flights today, very happy with it. On to setup the next plane!

Have agree with you run both IBEC and the PB SparkSwitch and I do prefer the SparkSwitch it is better unit and cleaner signals.
