The Extra actually made it into the shop today. I worked on the throttle arm, servo, and linkage. I flipped the stock DA arm over so it pointed down. I stole @Terryscustom s fix for that using a ball link spacer. I also did something similar so I could put the choke rod on the opposite side for clearance.

Sure glad to see you get back to this plane!
Mine is 95% done... being new to the 35% game and it's new technologies is stressing me out.
I went with the Booma Smart Buss Extreme and for me, It didn't make things easier.
For some reason I believed it was going to have the auto servo matching. Phhht NOT!
Then I got to the supplied opti kill... I again learn that it has to have a separate battery!
Why in the hell would you design a power dist. without considering the ign. power???
Other assy. Threads were saying they were coming out tail heavy. So in my infinite wisdom
I installed a plate over the tunnel and placed the tank and batts there. And put the SB in the original
tank location. I haven't checked the CG yet ... but I have butterflies in my gut that I may have to completely
redo the innards of this thing.
I'm really looking forward to see how you set yours up. I need some better ideas to follow then the ones
my feeble mind keep handing me. :(

I finally called Horizon today about the lump in the left wing and some other issues like the cowl and canopy. I've been meaning to do it for months, but now that the scratch build project is done I finally got around to it. I'm a little concerned at the response. Since I won the airplane, and was not the purchaser, I don't have a receipt, just a shipping invoice. The guy I spoke with didn't fill me with confidence about what they will do. He said that he would send me an email that I should attach pictures of the problem areas to and send it back, and he would discuss it with his supervisor. I still think they will make it right...... at least I hope so.

From past experience, a vendor reserves the right to disqualify any product from any warranty or replacement obligations to any individual that is not the original purchaser. That being said, Horizon has always been extremely fair and incredibly top shelf to any concerns I have previously had. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. An' 'if'n they don't take care of you...lemme know. I'll fire the Behemoth Yak up and chop down their building.

True, but basically this was bought by Paul @GSNadmin as a gift. So, hopefully they will treat it like they would someones Christmas present.:)

No word from Horizon today.

Tonight I spent some time designing a canister mount. The ones that came with it won't really work, so I'm going to make my own. I've got some .078 aluminum that I used to make the canister mount in my Pilot Edge and it's worked for over 3 years, so I might as well.
