Did the aileron flutter or anything or it just felt lazy and landed it. That's a lucky one check the rest. The problem is a friend I fly with got bad bunch of bolts and they were shearing off. The reason we know is that his leg was agains the elevator and it jammed and then sheared the bolt. We were all surprise.

No flutter just felt sluggish. I first thought it was on low rates checked that and it wasn't so figured I better land and see what was going on. I did check the rest all have nylock nuts still on them. Not sure on this one must have missed it somehow. As far as shearing the bolt I guess that could have happened but no way to prove it.

My son and I got out this afternoon. Had a blast. Started to get a little windy, but I got some good flights in on the Big Stick. Practiced cross-wind landings!!! Fun stuff.

When you say big stick can you give some more details. I have a big stick as you see from small picture on the side. Just interested in to see how like the plane.

Got out Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon for some flying! Strange but welcome weather for February. Mid 70's both days. Flew the LX 6 times between the 2 days, the Mini-banshee 3 times, 61" Extra 330LT, twice and the wing once. Overall a great weekend for flying. Finally made it through the Intermediate sequence completely for the first time today. It is hard when you don't have it completely memorized and don't have anyone to call for you.

Great Planes Giant Big Stick with a DLE 35RA pulling it around. It is my first gas plane. It is a lot of fun for just horsing around.

I was just curious about your stick when you said big because AMR sells sticks from 30cc size to 150cc size in kit form and if you hade built one of his kits.

I'd love to have an AMR kit. But dang! Those babies are pricey! AMR thinks they are made of gold. Plus they never returned an email I sent them 5 or 6 months ago when I had questions about their Trainer 50 kit. If I'm going to pay $600 bucks for a box of balsa and ply, I expect a little customer service to accompany it.

I have to agree with you I built there Stick 85 about 4 years ago now and the price has gone from 500 to well over 800 dollars that is just nuts. The kit I built was great and it flies great it is on the heavy side but it is Stick. It will take a liking and keep on going. I did enjoyed building it. But at 800 dollars plus I do not know. But you must realize you do get everything. I bought a Viper st kit and for 800 dollars and got a short kit had to buy another 600 dollars to complete it. And the stick is a bigger plane.

Yes. Seems like the first time I looked at the Trainer 50 Kit it was $300 or $350. Then when I decided I was ready to buy a couple years later it had jumped up to $600.
