Hey guys, long time no see.

Been getting caught up around the house, working, going insane over the elections.....the usual stuff.

Started a new project this morning, it's a kit I think I picked up at a garage sale or flea market when I was a teenager so it's been on the shelf for a very long time. At Joe Nall this past year I bought the Corsair from @Rolling.Circle and it flies like s**t (!!!) so it isn't breaking my heart to hack it up for the radio gear and motor.

I've always been terrified of small models because they require a level of patience that I have never had but I'm going to give it a try and see what happens. I had my first little wood kit like this when I was seven and the cat knocked it off my workbench. I tried a Guillow's Mustang when I was about 12 or 13 but the tissue warped the crap out of the wing so that one went into the trash after a while also. If I can't do it this time, it's ARF's for me!

It's a Comet Aeronca K kit on floats, the plans say copyright 1945! I put my ugly mug in there in case anyone says I couldn't have built such an awesome little flyer!

Have you tried a trailer before and then decided to go with van. I built my self a trailer but got rid off it it was a pain around the house and trying to find a spot at the field and park so I went back to a mini van, not as big as the van you bought.

That's the very reason I went with a van. Don't have room to put a trailer plus I don't want to have to worry about one on road trips.

I've got a Dodge Journey now. With all the seats layed down I can fit my 35% in it. But I have to remove the Horizontal stabs. And I can't have any passengers.

I'm thinking about upgrading to a truck with a shell. That way I can still fit my planes but will have room for passengers.

Sounds like a cool little project Bart. If you get the build bug and like building smaller stuff, check out www.mountainmodels.com There stuff is awesome. I built their L4 Grasshopper last year and I can't believe how well everything fit together. The quality of their laser cutting is amazing.

I have a brand new DA50 sitting on the shelf and I've been looking around for a kit to build this winter. But I have found just the right one yet.

Great to see and hear from you bro!

Here's my Grasshopper.
