Hi dears, I've done a video for you and desert aircraft guys. You can check and add your comments please.

From the manual-

Unlike some ignitions, the Desert Aircraft ignition is designed to spark only when the prop is flipped at a high speed. If the prop is not turned over at "starting" speed, the ignition will not fire. This helps to prevent the motor from firing accidentally. Unless you are having problems starting the motor, don’t bother “testing” the ignition with the plug removed from the cylinder

I can almost guarantee, that you are getting a spark, if that engine is new it takes a bit more to get the carb primed making sure the choke is is full shut is a must.

Hold the spark plug at the head not on the alum muffler.

You don't need to hold it to anything, The shield on the spark plug lead provides the ground for the spark plug and there is no need to touch it to any part of the engine. If you think about it, there is no connection between the ignition module and the crankcase of the engine so touching the spark plug to any part of the engine doesn't do anything.

You are 100% correct forgot about that.

You got power, you got a shielded ignition. Push the plug in all the way and spin prop and no sparkey huh...

one other thing i suggest is try another spark plug. Then see below:

Looks like DA needs to SEND YOU A REPLACEMENT CDI Unit! Yours is DOA from what I see.

I agree. I've had a number of people tell me they had brand new ignitions from DA that were defective because they couldn't get it started and because they couldn't see a spark when they flipped it with the plug removed. It always turned out to be there was no fuel getting to the engine or they had connected something incorrectly.

The bottom line is if the engine is drawing fuel and the ignition is dead, the engine will flood within about a dozen flips with the choke on and the throttle open. If the engine floods but never fires, then I'd suspect the ignition. If the engine never floods when choked, it sounds like isn't drawing fuel and that is the problem.
