Tru-Turn Spinner

O

Ohio AV8TOR

I ordered my first Tru-Turn spinner and it arrives today. Looking forward to a quality product. For you TT users out there do you fly as is or do you polish it up? If so can you describe your method and show the results. TT mentioned to me in an email that to prevent the black oxidation over time by keeping lemon oil on it, have you guys used this?

Haven't tried the lemon oil... Hope someone chimes in. Sounds like a good idea.

I use "Mothers" on a drill pad and polish it up. I have wet sanded them before and then polished it. Looks very nice but shows all the finger prints and needs to be lightly re-polished once and a while.

I wet sand mine and polish with mothers. I find I have to polish them once at the beginning of the season then again about midway through summer, that seems to keep them looking good!

Here is my 4 1/2" on my Ultimate

I started at 400 then went 600, 800, 1200, up to 1500, alternating the direction I sanded 90 degrees with each different grit.

Then just some Mothers aluminum polish on an old rag and some elbow grease.

The minute you park it on the flight line and the sun starts gleaming off of it, it makes it all worth it!!
