Thanks to all the build thread contributors

Even after 40 years of building I'm still picking new tricks and techniques off these posts. The other day I was faced with one of my least favorite tasks, glue in the stabilizer. This usually looks like a Chinese fire drill as I try to juggle a couple of squares, tape measure. masking tape - well you get the picture. As I set contemplating this task I remembered someone on here using a lazer level so I dug mine out of the corner, changed the battery and set it up.

Set it to project the cross hair pattern, line the vertical line up on the rudder hinge holes and you have an instant perfectly horizontal reference line for the stab. Seemed to make the job so much easier and it looks dead on accurate. I don't remember what thread that was in or the contributor's name right off the bat but just wanted to say a big thank you to all who contribute.

Maybe you can teach a old dog new tricks.

Those levels come in real handy in many facets of building such as your described use, aligning engines is another good use. I also use it for splitting a canopy or other objects that are hard to get a line on.

There certainly is a lot of good info in the build threads here. A lot of guys have done multiple builds here Like @Terryscustom @orthobird and @acerc and others and they are full of good info and ideas. Terry has even done a few "How To" threads that I found very interesting like: How to split a cowling, Vacuum bagging foam parts, and Tuning gas engines.

I've tried to share a few things about Glassing and Painting when I can, and even some on Planking scale airplanes.

I would also like to thank the builders that post there builds. They give me ideas, knowledge and even some ambition to work on my project, even though I've been pretty low on it lately.

Yep, thanks! I have learned a ton on this site from all the build threads. Would have made mine a much more daunting task if I hadn't. Ton of fun to see how others choose to skin-the-cat.

Same here, Thanks to all those who take the time to post their build threads, tips and tricks etc. This site has become an amazing source if information. Too many good builders, and posters to thank individually, but would like to say that if @Terryscustom knew how many times I've been through his build treads, and YouTube videos he would probably slap me with a restraining order for stalking. lol. But thanks to these guys, I've built up the confidence to start building myself. I have a SIG Astro Hog that I will start soon to get my feet wet, then a Dynaflite Decathlon maybe this winter.

Have to thank all the people that have added to GSN. And have made this a great site and a great source of info. Must thank Terry for his info on vacuum bagging. Been building for many years but always stayed away from foam. But did my first bagging last year and have done several since then. Thanks.
