I feel you and that's why the key stake holders (manufacturers) need to take a bigger position on this, not just AMA!

Just like every "right" that is slowly slipped away little by little. Give an in and "compromise" the just want to take more and more. The attitude of "i doubt anything will come of it" it what has led us down the path to where this country is today. Its a hobby for crying out loud, there is zero reason the government should have any interest in it.

Early stages or not and with all due respect, if they want to grab full control they will unless it is combated by what ever legal means we have. The FAA is no joke. I said this from the beginning of this when it started. It will start small enough, but it is only a matter of time before they or someone like them more or less kill our hobby. What I mean by that is, we will no longer enjoy the hobby in the same ways we are accustom to. Money will be a large factor because someone is going to get paid and it will be for some stupid ass ****. Registering and doing that kind of stuff is only the start of "Getting Paid". And how many different entities will get a share of the money and so on and so on. They will sew this up so tight that you will probably wont even be able to fly on your own property any longer. I don't know whats going to happen, but I do my history fairly well and it speaks for itself whenever the government gets involved. The FAA may not be part of the gov, but they pretty much have the same power as they do and in some cases more. Plainly put....I do not see anything good coming out of this in the long run. Sure there will be some good things, but largely I don't think so. Ah well Im going to ride it for as long as I can and do what I have to for as long as I can to keep flying.

Just my two cents....

I think widespread paranoia is unwarranted, but that's just me. People will continue to do as they have done for years no matter what type of law is passed.

All we need to do is simply stand up and tell them no. We The People have the control, not the government.

I don't think paranoia is what 3dmike is going for, anyone else from what i have read. I think that what is being put out here is we need to light a fire under peoples butts so that they will stand up and say no.

Exactly!!! That's exactly what I'm trying to convey. I don't see people getting upset enough about it to actually do something about it. I hope that statement makes sense.

Yup agreed. It will be what it will be, but hopefully people in the RC community will at least try and not sit by while things happen.

It's time to go on the offensive. They have taken a little here a little there but when they are finished they will own the whole hobby.

It's the frog in the water experiment put into practice.

I'm in completely agree with you @3DMIKE . But, I just have this question spinning in my mind since AMA lose the fight with FAA: What is the position of the Big Manufacturers, Stores, and Hobby Shop???.... In my opinion they has been very shay in express what or say what side to take..... And honestly, it is his pocket who will suffer the consequences.

When you see a newbie who has to pay for his aircraft (can be any, heli, plane, multirotor), then join a club and pay fees, get AMA and pay fees, get FAA pay fees, read and agree 3,478 new rules, and I don't know what else... You can be sure that guy will be back to his PS4 and continue playing Call of Dut... hahahaha....

It is time to Strike Back!!!
