Idle Up

Yes, like most already mentioned.

I have it on a switch: low idle is only for taxiing and landing. The whole flight is on high idle for peace of mind.

Me too for the same reasons. A reliable low throttle setting during 3D, and a nice low idle for landing without having to mess with the throttle trim.

I have a landing condition set in my radio that lowers the idle, reduces the ailerons, adds rudder and elevator with lots of expo. this helps taxi.

All other conditions the idle is up.

Conditions....... So much conversation about whether you need conditions. This, however, is a good use of a condition.

I use an idle down on a switch for landing. It is set to barely idle the engine. The same switch when in the idle down position turns off a 1% down elevator to bottom throttle stick mix that gives better down lines.

Same here, always set the far left forward switch with idle up/down. I had an sbach that would balloon on landing when slowed down,so on the same switch, I had low idle and a little bit on spoilerons mixed in to make it land nice.

I started using an idle up switch once I dead sticked my first 30cc lol. Having you idle three or four clicks above reliable idle for take off and landing is a must now. Easy to do with a jr just set your throttle curve with your high rates. My new graupner has it's own dedicated idle up function that can be assigned to any switch.
