60" Laser-EXP

I like the looks of that one too! Just curious on the power with 30, 33, 35cc on a 78"

I'd say the DA-35 should be perfect for it :D
One of our team pilots Hone1er has the EF 78" Extra with the OS 33, and he just installed a tuned pipe. That may be another route to go. But I think the larger planes in this class will definitely need more than a DLE-30.

Hopefully I will finally see a DA-35 in action as we are going to Nall in the AM. My Mintor 38 is slighly more powerful than my GT33s (stock) and it only gets about 20 lbs of thrust. In order to get the thrust needed to get 2:1, it will probably have to spin a 21" prop.

Ah well, something to look forward to. I still have to maiden my 64" MXS so that will keep me tied over until the laser comes out.

What are you waiting for? The MXS is awesome!

A few reasons. I am just getting into 3D flying so I have been practicing with a couple of 48" balsa/foamies. (Wattaplane slick and MXS) I am also finishing up my first scale plane, a Pilot RC Yak 54 30% that I will be running on 12S with a Hacker Q80-6L. Lastly our club moved to a new temporary field so I wanted to check it out before I brought any balsa planes. The runway drops and rises (far from flat) and it is also slanted. It will be OK for the MXS but I will need to find a new field for my scale plane. I am getting prepared but I want to walk before I run. Maybe this weekend I will maiden it...I am sure it will be a blast.

I'm waiting (and waiting) on the 35 from DA. I've been following Hone's progress with the GT 33 as well as seeing and flying with Enterprise (he had a couple gt33s running now). I really want the DA but the season is here now. I'm giving til the end of May then seriously thinking the GT 33 piped as Hone has done.
He's got a great thread on the 78.

I got to see both schemes in person at Nall. The yellow is smoking nice now that I see it in person. It is cub yellow I think. The fuse is large compared to the MXS that was parked next to it in the EF tent and cowling is huge with those cheeks. Did not get to see it fly though as we were to busy doing the main and 3D lines plus seeing all the vendors.

The word is the container after the next one. Maybe 6 weeks away, but we all know how that goes. Don't shoot me when they don't show up for 8.
