Another thing is the Hyperion or whatever rebrand battery checker. It is the only one I know of that goes to 3 decimal places and does a good job telling you how full a LiFe pack is.

The Futaba one is very nice as well.
Gives you the percentage, and decomal points. It is dead on with what my charger says as well

One thing to be cognizant of with life, is that the voltage drop when the pack gets low is dramatic.
You really want to slowly work up to finding out how much you can use before charging.

I recommend two flights, then charge and see how much you put back. Then ad another flight, repeat the process.

Good luck!

I forgot to mention that about the liFe packs in my previous post as well.
Extremely good point to watch out for with these packs.

I finished reinforcing the wings tubes last night - I just ran some CA on the joint followed by some epoxy and then installed the reinfocement at each rib - is this basically what everyone has been doing (on the leading edge I just ran a bead of epoxy - no additional reinforcement). My wing tubes didn't seem to have a gap at the end but due to the missing rib in the center - figured it was just a matter of time. iphone backup 05-06-14 003.JPGiphone backup 05-08-14 003.JPG

I hear you NJSwede.

I often spend a whole pack in harrier, just dragging the rudder through the grass.

And of course that doesn't mean that it's not capable of craziness. But I was in a cruising mood yesterday...
