If there is a steady wind down the runway, It can get well up into the teens and I will still fly. Gusty winds and strong cross winds are more of a PIA and the decision to park the plane has to do with the direction the wind is coming from. North winds for us don't pose too much of a problem. South winds tend to swirl around trees, buildings and vehicles making the approach to landing way more interesting. Also, bigger planes tolerate the wind better. My 50cc Yak is much easier to land in a crosswind than my 35cc Extra or a high wing Decathlon.

I thought about adding a gyro to my next build just to help with landings in the breeze, almost feels like cheating though

I call it insurance bud. I don't give two shi*s what others might think. I know what wind gusts can do. I have been a victim of it myself and it is a sickening feeling when it happens. Especially when it was a maiden flight.

Well my new Kavan 6" balloon treaded wheels should be here tomorrow for my Turbo Bushmaster, I think they are going to be a good addition to that plane

I have a pair of 4" kavans and like them a lot. Nice and light. I found mine at a hobby store a few years back. Where did you pick yours up?
