I was leaning strongly towards the AeroWorks P-51 at one time but the reviews on it were not that good which caught me off guard as I personally have liked all of my AeroWorks planes. But the complaints looked legit so I scratched it from my list. In fact, I have scratched the P-51 from list all together. I like the P-47 razorback a lot, the P-40 is appealing but I am not a fan of rotating retracts. The Zero is a cool plane. The Focke Wulf is nice but the long gear is a pain in the rear as it bends really easy.

So some of you NW guys, how cold is to cold for you to fly? It was mid 40's here this evening with a light breeze, If I didn't have to work I would have gone out and flew, the cold doesn't really bother me much except when I cant feel my fingers.

For me it is less about the temp and more about the wind chill. If it is cold and windy that is far more brutal to me than just cold.

A transmitter glove helps

I only use mine when the when the wind chill is especially nasty, but I must fly to stay happy.

Keep in mind that batteries act different when cold. Keep them warm if possible

Good point, cold wind is no fun. On a similar note what do you see as an acceptable amount of wind to fly in? I know some guys that won't go out if there is 3mph and others that will head out in 6-8.

Interesting, I've never given much thought to the batteries, i was thinking the gas/glow engines would be a bit different in the cold
