so over the weekend I pushed my 71 Slick a little too hard and caused structural failer in the left elevator counter balance during a low harrier around the field...in the turn, the wing dipped a bit, the elevator counterbalance hit the ground and promptly fell to the ground and I pulled out of the harrier. Plane still flew ok and I landed without incident, but now I've got to fix the elevator...the hinges were already failing on the elevator, so it was only a matter of time before service was going to be needed...so yeah, elevator hinges seem to take quite a beating on my plane anyway.

Good save SnowDog. One of the guys at the field yesterday forgot to check the screws that hold the elevator on to his 30cc Edge 540 and one tried to depart the plane in flight. Only thing attaching it to the plane was the servo wire. The elevator assembly was just flapping behind the plane. He managed to get it back on deck with no damage. These are great flying airplanes.

So if anyone is interested... I had to submit to a Db test on my stock DLE 35 on Saturday. The rule is that it has to be under 98 Db. It came in at 101, but he said he subtracts 4 Db to accommodate variances between meters that he has seen.

Xpress, have you gone to the Wenatchee huckfest in the past? I was looking to see if it is advertised anywhere for 2015 and can't seem to find it.
