    Thanks for the info! Next question is how do you connect the cortex to a pc? There is no mention of it in the manual other than it comes with the supplied USB cable. I gather it needs power?

    Thanks for the info :) Going with 8S 4000s and the Motrofly DM5320 300kv motor. Props unsure but going to try a Xoar 19x10, APC 20x8 and APC 20x10. Will see what numbers I get on the Hyperion eMeter and decided then and switch to a carbon Mejzlik prop :)

    Hey guys I aquired a new in the box 72 Extra from a club mate. I tried out his 71" slick with a motrofly 5320 300kv motor on 4000 8s and didn't like the power. Has anyone run 10s on this plane? I keep reading CG is aft so I figure the Hyperion motor setup I had on my old Pilot RC 73" yak would...

    Tried a Cortex in a 40e Mustang but couldn't get it to work properly. When turned on in flight it dips down and ailerons need a trim. I tried setting the Cortex with the plane/gyro level rather than sitting on its tail wheel but made no difference. What am I doing wrong? :confused: I have one...

    Wow what a difference it makes! First flight wasnt good as I had the gain too high but worked out that the end points controlled the gain. I have slowly been lowering the expo on the radio as well. I have the gains set at 20% for normal and 40% for hold. Some hate the hold but I suck at torque...

    About to try the Cortex for the first time tomorrow morning! Installed in a Pilot RC 73" Yak 54 running on 10S. Radio is a Futaba 14SG. I thought I would go stock standard install and have it on a 3 pos switch with Norm/Off/Hold. Need to study up a bit more on what does what via the software...
