    How would throttle linkage line up if you mounted the servo inside and ran the pushrod thru the firewall?

    Ive had some luck with smaller planes by CAing the laminate them wrapping it with spyder wire fishing line and then soaking that with more CA. It would probably work for a larger plane for a while at least.

    +1 on the starter.....I bought a cup that attaches to my drill . after the initial start up and run you can flip it by hand. The rings are just tight so you cant get a good throw by hand. That said eventually it will start by hand if you can out last it....lol

    Ive done it on my 71 slick and 72sc......At $35 a pop for replacement shoes for these planes its worth it to me .....took less than an hour . What causes the pants to break/crack is the flexing and twisting. Ive spent way more trying to repair cracks before I started doing this so it saves time...
