Every Hitec 65hb servo (X4) has been replaced due to burnt amplifier in that plane, even after corrections were made within the radio. 3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics
I've heard (never tried) that wax paper works well in these circumstances... I think on that size plane I'd follow the recommended link above, it might even be better to buy a another complete airframe altogether to have parts on hand if its your beater plane?- econpatric

Really!? So if I charge it to full capacity and leave it plugged in (switch off) I could check it once a month a be fine? Thanks for the charging info Gary. I am wondering how low - in terms of voltage - is safe for flight. Where would you cut the battery off and recharge?- econpatric

Fromeco Badger Switch
So I bought my 71" Slick a new switch and battery pack from Fromeco, and have been very excited to put the pair to work. I do have a couple of questions for those of you using the Badger. Can/should I leave my battery plugged into the switch? I assume this is a "no no" but it seems like it...- econpatric

Discussion Connectors; ESC to Battery. What Are You Using And Why?
For those using EC5's what is your technique when using larger gauge wire? I have some Haiyin packs that have 8 AWG leads, the only way I can get them to soldier in is to tin the bullet and quickly insert the wire before the soldier cools. The joints seem ok, but I am interested in making them...- econpatric

Sure is fun to see all the birds in the yard this time of year! :ecstatic: Did my very first 'live' inverted harrier today first on the SHP then on the 71"! Had a tendency to push a little too much on both, but was proud of my first steps.- econpatric
