    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

For me, I don't think what I have done "overcompensation". On my Comp Arf 40% Extra, all the batteries are mounted in the motor dome. On my 36% Edge the batteries are up by the fuel tank. Not knowing where you have your battery (or batteries) are now, good planning will minimize the effect of...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

For what its worth: I have used cans for most of my planes over the last ten years. All of them had a cg that was farther aft than the same model built with stock mufflers. The models that had the furthest aft cg's were the Extra's. While my Edge models had an aft cg, the Extra having an already...

IMAC PAU Extra Build 105" assembly

With servos in the tail and cans, this isn't unusual. When I put cans in my V1 I had moved everything forward and put the batteries as far forward as possible. The ignition battery was on top of the engine box. You may not like pull-pull, but it does keep from having to add any excess weight.

New Product Twisted Hobbys- Official REVO P3 build and review thread

I was having a bit of a difficult time getting the small plastic tube into the clevis. I finally ended up by putting the plastic tube on the carbon rod and then pushing it into the clevis without much difficulty.

    Ignition Wiring

I've been using the Smart Fly ignition cut off for years, about the same way you want to do it. Excellent product and Rob Richey provides great support and answers any questions you have. Give him a call, phone number is on his website.

    Prop assistance please

I flew a Falcon 26X12 three blade this evening. Quieter than the Mejzlik 26X12N and pulls better as well. Really like this prop.

    Prop assistance please

We have noise restrictions at our field (Emerald City Flyers in Snohomish WA) I measured the Falcon 29X9 on the ground several times and never exceeded 88db at 9 ft with an app (Sound meter by melon soft) on my Samsung Edge 6 and holding the phone with the microphone pointing at the...

    Prop assistance please

I have a PAU 36% Edge with a 3W-110CS. It's possible for me to rip both of these, especially the Falcon 27X11. A Falcon 29x9 works okay, but still loud. I'm using a Mejzlik 29X12N and KS86 cans with standard headers. I think the 27x12 is probably a great suggestion.

    Futaba SBus Questions

David, It would be better to use a larger battery. If you can do it, Taildragger RC or your preferred source of batteries, I personally would use something near 5000mAh. As long as you know the orientation of the plugs going into the block, behind the turtle deck is fine. I don't own a...
