Soloshot anybody? Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Anyone have any experience with this new camera tracking device? It is not a camera, it is a servo like device attached to a tripod. The tripod you must supply yourself. It comes with the base unit and a tracking device. The camera is placed over the servo type unit, and it will track any moving object that has the tracking device installed on to it. It is called SOLOSHOT.

I have ordered one, but they say that demand is so high, it may be weeks or months before I receive mine. Just wanted to know if anyone in our RC community is using them, and if so, do they like it?

here is a link to the website:

Kinda surprised we haven't seen any videos popping up with people using these things. I'd like to see how it performs on some of our GS planes.

I was thinking the same thing. I would love to have one, but to much of life going on at the moment for that kind of expenditure :)

I had to send it back... They were supposed to send another one so I could use it for reviews and such.. but so far :(

The thing worked GREAT though! Not a simple turn on and go, but once it's set up it does work great!

Thank you Sleepy! They have told me it would be weeks to months before i get mine, due to high volume of orders, and not enough supply! As soon as i get mine, i will post for sure!

Yep Rich, we sure can put the tracker on yours. Would be great to film yours so we can then go over it and improve your basic sequence!

I really thought we had researched this thing enough to be relatively sure it would work, at least better than it did. I don't spend money lightly these days but this looked like it had the potential to make some of the site work easier. I will continue thrashing with it. Now that I have exhausted support I will freelance with setup ideas. The good news here is that messing up the setup only alters where it looks and has no impact on the mechanics or camera.
Onwards!
