Damn I'm hungry
Ahhhh! That smell! Pretty little rainbows floating on top my cup of coffee. Nah....don't miss it.

We do have one jet guy in our club. And we have a grass runway. He is working on his nose gear as we speak:D.

I have actually only seen one Jet fly. It was at our club field the first or second year I was a member. I remember thinking it was pretty cool but our runway isn't that long and when the jet landed, it went beyond the length of the runway and the nose gear collapsed. Since then, our club has banned turbines. Our field is on City Park property with allot of woods surrounding us and we feel they are just too much of a fire hazard if one crashes in the woods.

You must have been bored today and reading through old threads.;)

Turbines are cool, but way out of my price range. I built and repaired quite a few of them for others years back before they were mostly ARF's. There is a lot of cool stuff out there now.

Yep they are :too-cool: We have had the pleasure of Frank Noll flying his turbine jets at our fall event the past couple of years:D, other than the event, turbine jets aren't allowed because of the very close full scale airport proximity.

.

You guessed it. Yesterday was the first day off in over 3 weeks and the wind was blowing a bloody gale. . . . :face-palm:. Todd is much nicer, but I tore the Monocote on the bottom of me Kaos wing last night so I have nothing to fly. Go figure.

And Frank knows how to have fun and put on a show. I captured this video over Memorial Day weekend. Good flight on a windy day but not as spectacular as his demo at xfc this year.
