Same here. People have thought I was a good pilot because I talk a big talk on the forums. Man, were they in for a disappointment.

Guys didn't really port much over from 3DRCF though did ya?

Edit: @Bartman Forgot to ask. Do we have an option to change the theme in our preferences? I used to run the dark theme on the old site? Not complaining, just wondering.

what do you mean? almost all of the vendor content is here, all of the new member introductions, almost all of the classifieds, all of the 3D content....the only stuff that got dumped were the local site contests threads (most were older at this point), site suggestions (didn't apply), and Mike's featured or article links thread. It might look like a lot didn't transfer because it got mixed in with other non-3D-specific sub-forums, like the vendor folders. We made changes here to make sure stuff that was coming over had a place to go and that it would all make sense once it was mixed together.
I'm actually surprised that passwords and post counts made it over along with avatars. When we (when I say we, that's me and everyone else here) launched the site we had a lot of software problems because we were overambitious in what we were trying to do. Each time we tried to fix the problem we lost a lot of data and people were ready to kill me, literally there were probably a few that really wanted to kill me. So compared to that horrible stretch of about three months that I'll never get back, everything we tried to do this time pretty much worked!

It will take some time to get used to the new posting editor, I can vouch that @Bartman is a good person so I will give myself a chance here and congratulations on getting the merge done!

Looks like we are switching it up a bit. New site is looking pretty sweet... I miss the pretty orange. Like @Bipenut said, it'll take a bit to get used to but so far I am impressed! Thanks for the e-mail @3dmike to let us know what was going on ha ha.

I think there is a little nostalgia for Snowdog and NJSwede and I, as we spent so much time building a site that has disappeared forever, but alas that is the unforeseen consequence of selling it.
I will say again that I'm really excited to see all the content moved over here, and hopefully this is just the energy and skill infusion that was missing.

Oh don't get me wrong I think it's great and everything seems to be working really well. Congrats on that. Ive been there myself with phpp and few others. Actually didn't realize how much you did bring over because as you say is spread out so wide. Was actually fairly impressed that you got the ava's and personal accounts to stick with out any drama on my part. Curious how much more space you had to add for this? Anyway it's all good and way to go man.

Thanks for the e-mail @3dmike to let us know what was going on ha ha.

that was my fault, Mike was standing by and ready to put something out while I was waiting on an indication from my web guy that he was ready to get started. It was all supposed to go down this past Wednesday night but then that didn't happen and as we got closer and closer to Nall it ended up being a matter of just get it done and so I apologize for asking Mike to hold off. I can post the letter that he did write but wasn't sent if anyone wants to see it.

Ah man sorry @AKNick. As Bart mentioned I did have something together but things got a little crazy. I trust you will like the integration and the guys here. Bart has a real passion for the community and I know he will surpass your expectations. He's a great guy that has no desire to get rich from an RC site, he just wants to have a great place for guys to hang out and share the love of the hobby. I will stick around and say hi from time to time but for now I'm going to enjoy a little free time. I've been doing this forum thing for I think almost 4 years now starting with rcthrasher.com. I've recently joined the worship team (church band) at my church and am excited to really throw some more time into it. My wife is so crazy happy you guys have no idea! Lol.
