The one I found was passed to me and it was an interview and the maneuver was actually the last few seconds. I don't have the link. Sorry.

Guys I am working on an event and would like to include night flying. Are two light towers needed? I am looking at 30' towers with 4 1000 watt lights. The product specs say they light up more than 5 acres. Anyway... those that have experience please chime in.

what size planes do you want to fly at night? I've seen 100cc gassers fly under 2 light towers. Under a single tower I used to fly 40 sized glow profile planes all the time under a single tower. I would happily fly a 60" electric under a single tower, though it would be all very close in stuff for me. Harriers and such. 42" Slick might be a better choice for a single tower since they fly slower and are easier to keep in close.
Others with more skill and better depth perception would probably be much more aggressive and fly farther/higher at night, but I find it very hard to tell orientation flying at night and have to stay in pretty close.

Ok it sounds like we will probably need two. I'm really hoping some people will be willing to put up some big planes and want to accommodate that interest.

For a weekend event how many nights do most events have night flying? I was thinking Friday and Saturday but maybe one night would be enough?

Normally Friday and Saturday at all the events I go to.

At Youth Masters we flew a 50cc (88" Edge) With only a spotlight ( no tower ) :)

Who is sneaking in some flights this week?

I'm catching up on some building work :)

For anyone near me in Pittsburgh, The Dome Fly at Neville Island is Saturday night - Usually draws about 50 pilots - 14 oz limit. 6:45 PM start.

Just finished building a new PA Addiction to replace the one that the tree "ate" a few months back - No Maiden yet - waiting for some acceptable weather.
