What replacement ignition do you need?

Most all RCexl and RCXP ignitions are the same with close to the same timing curve and will work with most all China made engines and some domestic made engines with magnet on hub set up to be timed at 28-30 degrees before top dead center.

Will not work with DA-3W and ZDZ with out a special sensor bracket or modifications to the engine.

The exception to this is the earlier RCexl ignitions #4 for the DLE20, They have a crazy timing curve that advances all at one time and gave people a lot problems

The only difference in the ignitions is the plug cap. There are four different types of plugs caps used on the ignition.

CM6 for CM6 spark plugs

5/8” hex meaning a 5/8” wrench fits the spark plug , most common plug is a BPMR6F-CMR6A-RZ7C

¾” hex meaning a ¾” wrench fits the spark plug, Most common plug is a BPMR6A or 7A,-RCJ6Y

The ¾” hex will fit the RCJ6Y but the plug is 13/16 and the plug cap is a little harder to put on and take off.

1/4-32 plug cap for 1/4-32 spark plugs that works in the place of glow plugs
