very interesting concept for rc planes, would love to see how it flies and how well they've been able to get the system to actually match up to operating condition.

full scale aircraft usually use oil pressure from the engine to move the prop blades via pistons in the prop hub. a governor will control the oil pressure to command high pitch (cruise, high speed) or low pitch (better acceleration, take off, landings). the oil pressure based systems work very well and have been around a long time so it's interesting to think that the prop is independent of the engine and that it mechanically adjusts based on torque alone.
