Hey guys show us your scale planes here. I will start with a recent purchase of mine a 50% Hemple cub.

The red white and blue one is a pittz made from the pink pitts the big b1rd was built 20 years ago and was a 50% "MINI MAX" ultralight

13 ft wingspan built from the full size plans built up ribs dope and fabric covered. and here is the fun and or scary part.:confused: It tip the scales at 23 lbs with 3 lbs of lead in the nose for balance. one servo per aileron elevator and rudder 3 yes 3 4.8 volt batteries "Y"ed to one switch. and the power was a blistering Quadra 35 . boy have things changed. It flew that way for 5 years without a problem



I should build another one that was a fun plane and I know i need therapy :confused: but I like building trust up ribs :cool:

This one isn't mine. It's a Sig kit, the second one built by a gent I fly with. This one was actually had her first flights this morning.

Neato.. I had a full scale mini max.. I remember I could look below the end of the runway at 500 feet, push the nose down to a steep descent, pull throttle, and never reach vne and land at the end of the runway.. Lots of drag

Geesh Nelson, After the Hemple my 33% J3 really doesn't look like much.
