I just wanted to post about this engine. I feel like it is a really over looked engine that many do not even know about but is a perfect engine to re-power or power many of the smaller 50cc ARFs still out there.
MVVS 50 IRS
This is fully new one-cylinder petrol engine of the "58" conception. Interesting detail to be mentioned is the overhung crankshaft stored on the three front bearings warranting longer lifetime. The engine is intended for direct drive of propeller size 22 - 24"
Intake is controlled by reed valve placed in rear cover. Exhaust system is orientated on the right side. Crankshaft fitted on 3 ball bearing and connecting rod has both holes equipped with needle bearings INA. Piston is made from aluminum composition with high contend of silicium. Piston is coated by special sliding coat, which force running in the engine and extend engine service life. Cylinder from aluminum composition has working area coated by NIKASIL.
Engine is suitable for all kind of models and also has good exploitation for racing acrobatic flight.
"S" type of MVVS 50 IRS: Tuning reed valve increase about 200 - 300 [RPM] of max revolution for same propeller. Engine is also equipped with intake difusor, which increase torque of engine in whole RPM range.
