External BEC connection

Just Do It
I should receive my 85a Series B this week and 10a Castle BEC. Where do you guys splice in the two, at the battery connector or cut back some insulation back away from the connector and solder in there? On my 71" Slick I did the cut the insulation back method which worked pretty good but I would like to hear from others on what you like to do.

If using deans, solder the BEC power leads directly onto the connector with the ESC's leads.

If using Power Poles, crimp the BEC's leads in with the ESC's leads.

I usually add a small extension, so I always solder it in at that junction.
(The other wires you see are for my telemetry voltage monitoring)

Gary looking at your picture it looks like you extended you ESC battery connection lead, how long is it? I always thought that was a bad thing to do.

The ZTW factory said that as long as the total wire from battery to ESC combined didn't exceed 12", that its ok.
My batts have short wires:
